How to Measure for a Knit Hat

To be able to properly knit the correct size for a knit hat, we must know the circumference of the head in inches. For example:

Child Size Knit Hats:

  • Baby = 14 !/2"
  • Toddler = 16"
  • Child = 18 1/2"

Adult sizes are anything over 18 1/2",

How to Measure Your Dog for Clothing

It is important that you take the time to measure your dog and choose the proper size when ordering.  You should measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (where the tail joins the body). This measurement, in inches, will help you choose the right size clothing for your dog.   Your dog should be standing square, as shown in the BLUE dog picture below.   Also, when ordering, please take into account your dog's weight.  Due to differing physiques, some pets may not fit these standards exactly.

Remember, that certain breeds e.g. greyhound, dachshund or an over or underweight dog may need a custom fit.
